It s not uncommon for human parents to sacrifice for their children, but scientists have now observed orca doing the same thing.A study in the journal Current Biology found it s  reproductively costly  for female orcas who care for their adult sons. One example is K35, a killer whale profiled by NPR.The whale gave birth to a son 20 years ago and still helps feed him. These two have an extremely close social relationship,  Michael Weiss, the research director at the Center for Whale Re stanley mug (https://www.stanley-tumbler.us) search, told NPR. Weiss said the close  stanley canada (https://www.cups-stanley.ca) relationship appears to have stopped K35 from producing more offspring. He noted that other whales around the same age have gone on to reproduce. They ve produced three or four offspring,  Weiss told NPR. There s concern that the practice could impact the survival of the souther stanley cupe (https://www.stanleycups.ro) n resident killer whale. The study notes that there are believed to be less than 70 alive today. Researchers worry that if more female orcas provide long-term care for sons and do not reproduce, the population will drop.      .Page-below > .RichTextModule display:none; .Page-below .Link font-size: 12px; padding: 5px 10px;border: 1px solid  005687;border-radius: 4px;font-family:  proxima-nova , sans-serif; Report a typo Rrjm Harley-Davidson opens events space called the   Garage

The legal battle could go for another year or two.If the NRA dissolves at that point, it would have a huge impact on American politics, but that doesn t mean the end of the gun debate. What happens is the resources of the NRA would be distributed in a way that is designed to match the donors  intent,  said Winkler.  And that means that money would go to gun rights organizations and would go towards fighting against gun control in most, most circumstances. Winkler says the NRA dissolving isn t the only potential outcome. The attorney general is also seeking less drastic repercussions, l stanley canada (https://www.stanley-cups.ca) ike removing certain in-house lawyers or board members. That includes Wayne LaPierre, the executive vice pres stanley us (https://www.stanley-cups.us) ident. We don t yet know exactly what evidence there is. Winkler says the AGs case has at least one advantage, the NRAs former public relations firm, Ackerman McQueen, is cooperating. And so, the a kubki stanley (https://www.stanley-cups.pl) ttorney general is going to have on her side an insider who s seen everything that s happened in the NRA for the last three decades,  said Winkler.  I think the NRA is in big trouble. He says the lawsuit could also impact the November election by energizing pro-gun voters looking to support the NRA and the Republicans.Winkler says it s also likely t
