Shared mailboxes can be tricky during an Office 365 Tenant to Tenant Migration (https://www.cloudbik.com/solutions/microsoft-365-tenant-migrations/), especially if they’re actively used across departments. Ensure access continuity and correct delegation post-migration.
When using Office 365 Manual Mailbox Migration (https://www.cloudbik.com/resources/blog/tenant-to-tenant-migration-office-365/), export the shared mailbox as a PST, then recreate and import it in the target tenant. Don’t forget to reassign permissions to relevant users after the move. Or we need to add license in the Source mailbox to perform the migration for the same.
If those shared mailboxes link to files in OneDrive, then Cross Tenant OneDrive Migration (https://www.cloudbik.com/solutions/cross-tenant-onedrive-migration/) must also address permission restoration. Create a list of shared files ahead of time and re-establish proper access post-migration.
