 The UK government s East Midlands Development Agency  EMDA  and the region s University of Nottingham have signed an agreement for a 拢9m  $18.2 million  Global Navigation Satellite Systems  GNSS  research facility, to be built on The University of Nottingham Innovation Park adjacent to its Jubilee campus.The facility, called GNS air force one (https://www.af1.it) S Research and Application Centre of Excellence  GRACE , will focus on the growth in applications for satellite navigation and positioning systems such as the US military s Navstar global positioning system and the European Union s Galileo system, which should be fully operational by 2013.The University s Institute of Engineering Surveyin adidas sambarose (https://www.adidas-samba-adidas.fr) g and Space Geodesy s  IESSG  director and its professor of satellite navigation Terry Moore says:  [The US Navstar system] will soon be joined by other systems, including Europe s Galileo, and location and timing services provided by these systems are becoming a fundamental part of all our lives.  Section to open with Carlo Verdone film C owala (https://www.owalas.ca) arlo!The Rome Film Festival  Nov 9-17  has announced that writer/director Francesco Bruni will lead the Perspectives Italy jury. The other members of the jury will be Babak Karimi, Anna Negri, Stefano Savona, and Zhao Tao.The section, a new competition selection that tracks the latest trends in Italian film, will open with Carlo! by Gianfranco Giagni and Fabio Ferzetti, a portrait of filmmaker/actor Carlo Verdone.The films selected for Perspectives Italy will be competing for three awards to be decided by the jury: Best Feature Film, Best Documentary, and Best Short Film. Up to 14 features  including documentaries  and seven shorts will be selected, all will be world  owala (https://www.owala-waterbottle.us) premieres.The Perspectives Italy selection committee is made up of Massimo Galimberti  in charge of the Selection committee and coordinating Perspectives Italy with the other competitive sections , Cecilia Ermini, Annamaria Licciardello and Jacopo Mosca. The Perspectives Italy competitive line-up will feature up to fourteen feature films  at least five of which will be documentaries  and seven short films. Films must be world premieres in order to be considered for selection.
