Titre: Cracked leather seat – can this be repaired or do I need a full replacement?
Posté par: rapidBolts le Juin 11, 2026, 08:27:29 am
My 2014 Mercedes E Class has developed a nasty crack on the driver's seat bottom bolster. It's not huge yet, about two inches long, but I can see it getting worse. I'm not ready to sell the car so I want to fix it properly. I've seen DIY leather repair kits online but I'm worried it will look terrible. I found the Proven Car Upholstery Service in 800Sayara Dubai (https://800sayara.com/car-upholstery/) and they claim to do leather repairs. Has anyone used them or any other upholstery shop in Dubai? Can they actually match the color and grain on a Mercedes interior? Also how much should I expect to pay for a repair vs replacing the whole seat cover? The car has tan interior so I'm worried about color matching. Also will a repair last or will it just crack again in a few months? Any advice on whether to go for repair or replacement would be great. Also any tips on preventing further cracking? I've started using leather conditioner but maybe it's too late. Thanks in advance from a guy who's picky about his interior.
