Clarksville, TN A change has been made to the 2024 schedule for the Austin Peay State University APSU football team and the Governors will now open the season against Louisville on August 31st, at Cardinal Stadium in Louisville, Kentucky.The Governors were originally slated to open the 2024 season at Stephen F. Austin before playing a Week 3 contest against at Georgia Tech, but the season opener against the Cardinals will replace the opener against Lumberjacks and the Atlantic Coast Conference game against the Yellow Jackets.The 2024 opener will be the first-ever mee stanley us (https://www.stanleyusa.us) ting between the Governors and Louisville. Montgomery County, TN Safehouse director, Christy Bussell, accepts a generous donation of women and children winter clothing from Clarksville City Councilwoman Kaye Jones.Safehouse is the local shelter for women and children needing safe refuge.To support the mission of the Safehouse, the Montgomery County Sheriffs Office collects and recycles cell phones with all proceeds going to Safehouse. L to R City Councilwoman Kaye Jones, Montgomery County Sheriff John Fuson and Safehouse director, Christy Bussell.The cell phone project was started under the late Sheriff Norman Lewis and has continued with the support of Sheriff John Fuson. Funds from the cell phone recycle project are used for discretionary needs for victims of abuse.The Safehouse is always in need of various items.
