I’m preparing my first book and researching top book publishing companies (https://beaconhillpublishers.com/), but I’m unsure how to compare them properly. What should I check besides reputation and reviews? I’d like to understand differences in contracts, editing, royalties, distribution, and author support. Which questions should I ask before signing anything? If you’ve published a book recently, what worked well for you, and what mistakes should new authors avoid?
