 Director Olivier Dahan will begin shooting the Edith Piafproject La Momeon January 16 at Prague Studios in the Czech Republic.The film, produced by OKKO Production and Songbird Pictures Limitedand Legende Entreprises,wi stanley cup ll star Marion Cotillardas Piaf. Cotillard won a Cesar award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in A Very Long Engagement. She also starsin the thriller Fair Play, which shotat Barrandov Studios earlier this year.Timothy Burrill wil co-produce for Songbird Pictures Limited in the UK with Marc Jenny co-producing for OKKO Production in Prague. Marc Jenny said the film would shoot at Prague Studios andat various locations in the Czech Republic and Fran stanley cup ce. He could notconfirm budget details, but said the project was a Czech-French co-productionbut without state or EU su stanley cup pport.  It s like an indie, Jenny told Screendaily. We re very honoured andvery happy to host this project,  said Prague Studios generalmanager Tomas Krejci, adding that La M么me was perfect  for his studios, which compete for projects with BarrandovStudios across town. Dahan s shoot will occupy allthree of Prague Studios  stages, including the 3,000-square-metre Stage 1.International sales will be handled by French broadcaster TF1, Jennysaid.Dahan was nominated for a Golden Seashell for La Vie Promise in 2002.  The director of Rotterdam premiere When The Lights Went Out talks about his personal connection to t stanley us he horror story.UK filmmaker Pat Holden  Long Weekend, Awaydays  had a personal reason to tell the story of his  stanley cup Rotterdam world premiere When The Lights Went Out 鈥?it was his aunts home that was the target of the haunting.  I was about 8 or 9 when it happened,  Holden remembers.  My mum was always around there with the family. The film is loosely based on the story of the Black Monk of Pontefract, the true story of a haunting of a working class family in 1970s Yorkshire. Holden says:  It is recognised as the worst case of poltergeist haunting in European history; many people experienced it at first hand; the police, neighbours, relatives, priests 鈥?even the local mayor.  I grew up with the story, it was a famous thing in the town. I was getting asked about it at school,  he says.  This has been a part of my life for so many years, Ive been desperate to make a film about it for so long.  He got it made with producers Bil Bungay  Moon  and Deepak Nayar  Bend It Like Beckham .He didnt experience the spooky stuff first hand because of his age 鈥? I was never allowed in the house [at the time of the events], Im sure that was for the best.  But he doesnt for a moment doubt the storys authenticity.
