After months of negotiations and missed closing dates, Collingwood has finally inked a deal with Winterland Developments to sell the Collingwood Regional Airport.Winterland will purchase the airport for $4.1 million, as originally intended in its offer to buy the facility in response to the town call-out last year for bids.The caveat attached to the agreement approved Feb. 28 by council following an in camera session will be to hold back $300,000 of the purchase price in a trust account that would fund any tenant issues that Winterland needed to resolve.
