 DURHAM 鈥?Routine calls for service to Durham police have risen slightly as the community endures the COVID-19 pandemic, but officers are responding to fewer reports of emergencies, according to statistics released by the service Friday.Since Ontarios declaration of a state of emergency in response to the virus, police in Durham have received more than 1,600 reports of people or businesses breaching restrictions, according to the stats. But few charges have been laid under the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act, police said.
