Hannibals Board of Education is in the midst of naming an interim Superintendent of Schools but has not begun the search for a permanent superintendent.Board President Matt Henderson read a prepared statement at a recent public meeting that revealed that the board is narrowing down its list of candidates to hold the job on a temporary basis.Nine months ago, the board rejected a contract extension for Superintendent Mike DiFabio, after DeFabio negotiated the extension with the boards President and Vice President.Then-President Dale Young said at the time that DiFabio turned down his request to renegotiate and is opting to retire.聽 DiFabio has never disputed Youngs account but has given hints that thats not the whole story.Since then, the board has hired a consulting firm to help it search for a new superintendent and in December approved DiFabios reitrement agreement. placement_509781_0_iwidth:100%;margin:0 auto;But the
