Officially known as Heracleum mantegazzianum, the giant hogweed can grow as tall as seven to 18 feet 2 to 5 meters . Superficially, it resembles the common hogweed, but it belongs to Apiaceae, which makes it a member of the carrot family. It was introduced to Britain as an ornamental plant in the 19th century, and has since spread to many other parts of Europe and North America,
