Puerto Ricos cost of living has soared in recent ye stanley cups ars, largely as the result of non-natives snatching up low-cost real estate in the wake of 2017   Hurricane Maria.     In July 2021, residents of the popular beach town Rinc贸n joined with environmentalists to push back, demanding that a condo site stop construction of a pool that both  stanley quencher cut off beach access and threatened endangered turtles that lay their eggs nearby.  In order to prote stanley mugg ct the nearby nesting site of endangered turtles, protestors in Puerto Rico tear down where a condo 39  pool is being built. pic.twitter/n5XWAoG0d7 mdash; The Post Millennial  @TPostMillennial  July 26, 2021  The protests heated up this January, when a group of young beachgoers were accosted by wealthy homeowners who didnt want them to set up a tennis court on the public beach.  A video of the encounter went viral after it was shared by disgruntled Puerto Ricans, and in response, the community organized a beach protest at the end of January in Ocean Park.  Researchers at the University of Colorado at Boulder used stretchy materials and liquids that shift shape in response to electricity to build the artificial muscle, wh stanley thermobecher ich could enable robotics that grip and handle fragile things, like the raspberry in the video shown above. The combination of the liquid and the electrical cue gives the artificial muscle a fast, easily control stanley cup led response, very different from the movement provided by a motor or hydraulics.     In one device described in a Science paper on Friday, a doughnut-shaped shell made of a rubbery material that was then filled with a viscous liquid, and hooked up to opposing electrodes. When the voltage was applied, the liquid shifted, changing the shape of the shell. Using insulating liquids, the devices even have the ability to self-heal, the scientists said. Depending device design, different robots were able to also flex a mechanical arm and lift a gallon of water. The end goal is to one day create robots that can work closely and more safely with humans, as well as prosthetic limbs capable of moving much the way the human limbs naturally do.                                                stanley website           RoboticsScience                                                                                                                                                                                                              Daily Newsletter
