Voters will be called on to select their mayor, six councillors, the chair of Halton Region and trustees for both school boards.Mayor Marianne Meed Ward has announced she plans the seek re-election in this race. If successful, this would be her second term as Burlington mayor. In announcing plans to run, 聽Meed Ward cited her record of the last four years including movement on managing development, greenspace and the pandemic response. The nomination period closes on Aug. 19.In early 2021 the city held an election survey seeking input on a number of related topics including signage, voting methods and turnout.
