Social isolation for older adults was a problem before the pandemic, but it has become a bigger concern even after the elimination of COVID-19 protocols. Coming out of the pandemic, it was a challenge for older adults to reintegrate, said Tiziana Pelusi, a connection specialist with the Connection in Action program. People didnt know if they could socialize or sometimes didnt have the motivation to socialize.
