 The City of Toronto could take Environment Canada out of the loop when it comes to opening up cooling centres on very hot days.The cooling centres are a part of Torontos Heat Relief Strategy, which supports the operation of emergency cooling centres during heat waves through late spring, summer and early fall.Under the current rules, theyre open when maximum daily temperatures are 31 Celsius or warmer.
