DURHAM 鈥?Durham Region is receiving more than $1.8 million from the federal government to help with homelessness during the pandemic.The $1,863,170 is coming from the Reaching Home Program, a $157.5-million effort to support homeless people during the COVID-19 crisis.Pickering-Uxbridge MP Jennifer O ;Connell said the funding will allow the region to put in place prevention and preparation activities around homelessness.
