Halton police said they have arrested two Toronto men following an investigation into an alleged SIM Swap Scam that managed to steal more $136,000 from its victims.In a press release issued, Wednesday, April 24, police said that three months ago they began an investigation, dubbed Project Buff, into an alleged fraud network operating in Halton and the surrounding area.Investigators allege the suspects were using stolen phone numbers and counterfeit identification to empty their victims bank accounts at various financial institutions.
