KENOSHA, Wis. -- A Kenosha Police officer escaped serious injury after being struck by a vehicle around 6 a.m. Friday.The 29-year-old third-shift patrol officer was assisting traffic and walking across a crosswalk at the intersection of Sheridan Road and 63rd Street.A pickup stopped while heading south on Sheridan Road and then drove forward as the officer was directly in front of him.The incident was captured on body cam footage obtained exclusively by TMJ4 News.The officer was transported to Froedtert Hospital in Pleasant Prairie.
