Cdag A new twist to    The Nutcracker    story   8230;
 Clarksville, TN  Lesly Moreno, a finance major at Austin Peay State University  APSU , is chasing her dream of a successful career in banking despite the challenges of being a first-generation college student and recently experiencing the devastating effects of a tornado.Moreno, who moved to the United States from Guatemala at the age of 5, recently transferred from Mitchell Community College in North Carolina to Austin Peay, where she is now part of the inaugural  Banking on Govs  program. I moved here because of my husband [who is in the Army], and I wanted to finish my degree, Moreno said. I did research on schools in the area. I was still leaning towards engineering at first, but Austin Peay State University offered more morning classes that fit my schedule since I was taking care of my younger sister then. So I changed my major to finance. As a transfer student, Moreno initially focused on balancing her stanley cup  family responsibilities, work and academics, leaving little time for campus involvement. However, after her sister moved back to North Carolina, Moren stanley cupe o seized the opportunity to engage in campus life. When I first started at Austin Peay State University, I was focused on other life things, like my sister, working and going to school,  Moreno said.  I wasnt really involved on campus because  stanley cup usa I didn ;t have the time. But once my sister moved back home, I was able to get more involved. I applied for the banking program and started going to some campu Xfok Austin Peay Lady Govs Tennis hosts Evansville Friday afternoon
 Cautionary words on climate from a May 1 statement by George Woodwell, the founder and Director Emeritus of The Woods Hole Research Center.I explore below paths that might, if followed, lead out of the chaos of an open-ended climatic disruption. Unfortunately the issues are complicated, the time for action is now late, and effective action is growing more difficult daily. Effective action is possible, however鈥?The changes in climate are far more serious than they may appear鈥? These changes, the warming of the higher latitudes, the destruction of forests, the accelerated decay of organic matter in forests and tundra soils, the melting of permafrost, the change from a reflective frozen white to black open water in the Arctic Ocean, and the warming of the surface water of the oceans all point to an acceleration of the warming trend. These are  positive feedbacks  which dominate as the earth warms and accelerate the disruption. Despite their importance, they have not b stanley cup een included in appraisals that suggest that a two degree average change in the temperature of t stanley cup he earth might be acceptable. The fact is that the feedbacks will almost certainly take the disruption beyond human control well before the temperature rise is two degr termos stanley ees C. Stopping at 2 degrees will not be possible.Worse, there is now a common suggestion that a two-degree change 鈥?one-degree more than that at present  in the temperature of the earth would be acceptable and might be achieved by an 80% reduction i
