 BALTIMORE 鈥?Effective June 23, transit fares in Maryland will increase due to legislative mandate.Single-trip fares for Local Bus, Light RailLink, Metro SubwayLink, and Mobility Link service will increase from $1.80 to $1.90, and monthly fare passes will increase from $72 to $74, the Maryland Department of Transportation, Maryland Transit Administration said in a release. The increase is mandated by a 2013 law that says when two years of Consumer Price Index increases occur, MDOT MTA has to increase transit fares by a minimum of 10 cents or higher.
