President Bush has designated six prisoners to become the first terrorism suspects who could be tried before military tribunals, the Pentagon announced Thursday.Officials refused to identify the six suspects being held in U.S. custody. All are believed to be either members of the al Qaeda terrorist network or otherwise involved in terrorism, said two Pentagon officials who briefed reporters o stanley cup n condition of anonymity late Thursday. Some of the six may have attended terrorist training camps and some were involved in raising money and recruiting for  stanley italia terrorist groups, the officials said. Under Bush s order creating the military tribunals, only people who are not U.S. citizens can be subject to such trials. The next step is for a chief prosecutor to draft charges against any or all of the suspects.Deputy Defense Secretary Paul Wolfowitz will then make a separate decis stanley cup ion on whether the suspects will actually face trials by what the Pentagon calls military commissions.        The United States might not publicly identify the suspects even if they go to trial, a senior Defense Department official told reporters. None of the officials who discussed the matter Thursday would say where the suspects are being held, though all are in U.S. custody.Australian detainee David Hicks, who is being held at the U.S. Navy base in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, likely will be one of the six, said his lawyer, Stephen Kenny.Kenny said he did not know why the 26-year-old Hicks was chosen.  Whether  it is becaus Xfmd TSA to bolster body scanner privacy
While Peter Jackson   vision of Middle Earth may be the dominant one right now, artists have long put their own spin on J.R.R. Tolkien   world. Dresden Codak cartoonist Aaron Diaz shares his own visual interpretation of Tolkien by illustrating each character of The Silmarillion, as well the book   characters and creatures.     Diaz explains on The Silmarillion Project blog that he decid stanley cup ed to undertake this illustration project in part because, lovely as they are, Jackson   movies have so overwhelmed the popular vision of Middle Earth and Diaz wants to encourage a diversi stanley botella ty of artistic interpretations. He also wants to add a bit of diversity to Middle Earth itself: A second motivation is to p botella stanley rovide a greater representation of women and people of color in the narratives. While Tolkien made more than a few missteps regarding race and gender, the everyone is white trend in adaptations is a symptom of other people ignoring what   in the texts. Additionally, all of Tolkien   writings are presented as if they ;re written from a limited and flawed historical perspective  LoTR and The Hobbit were written by Hobbits, etc . The position of my adaptation is to present what actually happened- the events upon which the flawed or biased history is based. Just like with real historians, the presence of women and people of color, and their achievements, are frequently ignored. You can see a few of Diaz
