 In the wake of Tyre Nichols death, the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act has been brought back into the spotlight. We demand that Congress pass the George Floyd Justice and Policing Act. Joe Biden will sign it,  said United States Vice President Kamala Harris at Nichols funeral.What does the act entail It was introduced in 2021 by Congressional Democrats as a police reform bill. The bill focused on excessive force, racial bias, and police misconduct. The act s language would apply to both federal agencies as well as state and local.Some of the points of the bill include establishing a federal registry of police misconduct complaints, requiring federally-funded state and local law enforcement agencies to adopt anti-discrimination policies stanley cup , requiring federal officers to wear body cameras and restricting the use of qualified immunity.Qualified immunity currently pr stanley cup otects officers from individual liability unless the officer violated a clearly established constitutional right. The doctrine was created by the Supreme Court in 1967 in a case called Pierson v.  HELENA 鈥?The Montana Historical Society contin yeezy ues adding photos, maps and information to its Explore Big app.The app was first released two years ago with information on 250 Montana properties.It has since grown to more than 1,500 listings.The properties are included on the app if they are on the National Register and if they have a sign to indicate their National Register status.Outreach and Interpretation Historian Christine Brown says the apps contents will be continually updated to include more photos.Users can access properties by their specific location  adidas campus or in some cases they can find them by theme. Within the app or the website its really easy to search,  says Brown.  If you know the name of the property, say adidas samba  the Tuttle House, you can search for it that way. Or if youre just interested in something like say depots, or the mining industry, or the early history of Montana, you can also take one of our pre-curated tours.
