The Ontario Ministry of Transportation is proposing to close Highway 403 in both directions for two weekends next year as part of a detailed seven-month project to repair both the Old Guelph Road and Macklin Street bridges.Edward Soldo, director of Hamiltons transportation, operations and maintenance, said during the Oct. 5 public works committee meeting, provincial officials during the Highway 403 closure will conduct deck rehabilitation, including waterproof replacement and pavement repairs.
