The truck traffic through Hagersville has been an ongoing safety concern,

The proposed route would detour trucks along Army Camp Road Haldimand Road 27 and Sandusk Road.According to Coun. Tony Dalimonte, the transport traffic is made up of fully loaded trucks coming out of Oxford and Brant counties. He said that truckers discovered that Haldimand Road 20 is a quick way to Highway 3 en route to Niagara rather than taking the 400 series highways from Brantford.
