A rare disease called Paroxysmal noctural haemoglobinuria (PNH) is treated by
Eculizumab Injection. This rare and life threatening disease destroys red blood cells, blood clots and impaired bone marrow function. It works by inhibiting the cleavage of C5 into C5a and C5b by attaching tightly to the C5 protein in the blood, therefore inhibiting haemolysis.
