KANSAS CITY, Mo. 鈥?More than 200,000 Kansans have contracted COVID-19 since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, the Kansas Department of Health and Environment said Friday.According to data from KDHE and local health departments, 202,596 Kansans have tested positive for the virus in nearly the last year.Fridays data added 5,450 new cases to the states total.The state also added 88 more names to its list of people who have died from the virus, a total that now stands at 2,610.While Fridays data represent another grim milestone, the number of new COVID-19 cases reported in the state during the last seven days 鈥?14,857 鈥?is the lowest weekly total since early November.
