 MILWAUKEE 鈥?The City of Milwaukee is seeking proposals for dorms to house 4,500 police officers who will be in town during the 2024 Republican National Convention  RNC , according to our partners at the Milwaukee Business Journal.The proposals are the first in a series of city-issued requests totaling millions of dollars, Rich Kirchen with the BizJournal reports.The convention requires a massive police presence extending beyond the Milwaukee Police Department  MPD .  A Florida teacher, who was attacked by a 5-year-old student, has been released from the hospital, according to WSVN, the Fox affiliate in Miami.The incident reportedly happened last week at Pines Lakes Elementary School. The teacher had apparently moved the boy into a  cool down  room after he became violent in class.  WEST ALLIS, Wis. 鈥?A 16-year-old Milwaukeean and a passenger were arrested following a police pursuit starting in West Allis and ending near Jones Island in Milwaukee early Saturday morning. The West Allis Police Department tried to pull over the car for a traffic code violation, but the 16-year-old fled just before 3 a.m. Police used stop sticks t stanley tumbler o try and keep the car from continuing to run from the officers. The stop sticks popped the tires, but the driver kept trying to escape, even after the car lost one of its front tires, according to WAPD.  Eventually, the 16-year-old crashed into parked cars near S. 1st St and W. Kassner Pl. The driver and a passenger both jumped out of the car and ran away, but police caught up to them and arrested both in a nearby yard. There were no injuries in the crash, according to WAPD.  DUNN COUNTY, Wisc. 鈥?Authorities in Wisconsin are investigating after four people were found shot in an abandoned SUV in a cornfield.The Dunn County Sheriff s Office released the names of the victims, who were all from Minnesota, on Tuesday.The victims were identified as Nitosha Lee Flug-Presley, 30, from Stillwater; Matthew Isiah Pettus, 26, Loyace Foreman III, 35, and Jasmine Christine Sturm, 30, of St. Paul.Investigators said an autopsy was conducted Monday on all four victims, including two men and two women, which showed they all died from gunshot wounds.
