A paper about the discovery is published today in the Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society.  This particular black hole, which is roughly 30 billion times the mass of our Sun, is one of the biggest ever detected and on the upper limit of how large we believe black holes can theoretically become, so it is an extremely exciting discovery,  said James Nightingale, a physicist a stanley canada t Durham University, in the university release.  As Katherine noted in her look back at Elektra, the spinoff film from this film is pretty incoherent, and thats saying something, considering that Daredevil was the starting point for that particular trainwreck.     I think I can see why this stanley flask  film was made: it came shortly after Sam Raimis fantastic S stanley cup pider-Man, and follows a couple of the same beats: a child gains extraordinary abilities after an accident and a tragic incident with a family member turns him to a life of stopping crime. Thats about where the similarities end, though. Like Elektra, theres no coherent story here: theres just a series of ridiculous scenes that pretend. We see Matt Murdock as a child, blinded in an accident, and then we jump to the point where hes a lawyer, dressing up by night to fight crime, essentially bypassing the entire origin story of the character, going from learner to expert. Grown up  stanley mugs Murdock, portrayed by Ben Affleck, is kind of creepy  the entire scene where he meets Elektra and essentially stalks her is cringeworthy at best  sleeping in whats essentially a water-filled casket after downing a whole bunch of painkillers.  We haven ;t heard much about Trollhunters since 2010, when del Toro struck a deal with Dreamworks Animation to write and direct a Trollhunters movie. At that time, del Toro already had the book written and was planning on publishing it while he worked on directing the animated film. It   unclear if the movie is still happening  given that del Toro has a billion other projects on his slate  but the book is finally here. Back in 2010, here   how del Toro described the project: I wanted very much to develop a story that could be written for kids but dealt with a genre that was scary.  If youve heard of transmissible spongiform encephalopathies stanley ca   TSEs  or bovine spongiform encephalopathy  also known as mad cow disease , youve heard of prions. In humans, these misfolded proteins give rise to Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease and other TSEs鈥攄evastating conditions with no known treatment or cure. The molecular processes involved in these brain-destroying disorders are poorly understood, but new research published this week in Nature represents a major advance in this area.     A Case Western Reserve University team led by Jiri G. Safar is now the first to create an artificial strain of human prions in the lab. Working with this strain, the researchers managed to uncover unique human-specific attributes that had previously eluded detection. And importantly, the new synthetic strain w stanley cup ill now allow scientists to explore new avenues of research in the quest to find cures for TSEs.  This accomplishment represents a watershed,  said Safar in a statement.  Until now our understanding of prions in the brain has been limited. Being able to generate synthetic human prions in a test tube as we have done will enable us to achieve a much richer understanding of prion structure and replication. This is crucial for developing inhibitors of their replication and propagation throughout the brain, which is essential for halting prion-based brain disease.  Simply put, prions are a specific type of misfolded protein.  has a rather strange explanation for the blaze. This is all a huge mistake, you see. She was just trying to purify bear piss-contaminated water by boiling it. The strange story comes from the charging documents against Alexandra Souverneva, a Palo Alto woman accused of igniting the Fawn Fire. While the explanation may be somewhat farcical, the impact of the fire has been severe.     Wel stanley vaso l get to that in a second, but first we need to talk about Souvernevas story. She was arrested last week for allegedly starting the explosive fire near Redding, California. In the documents detailing the arrest and charges, Cal Fire law enforcement chronicle tracking her down after local workers reported seeing a woman walking in the woods near the quarry where the fire started. When Cal Fire found her, Souverneva was dehydrated. She claimed to be walking to Canada, located roughly 700 miles  1,127 kilometers  to the north. She also told the officer she was thirsty and came upon a puddle of dirty water contaminated with bear urine. After trying to filter it through a tea bag, a method that might clear out any debris but does not, as far as stanley cup becher  I know, work for bear urine, she decided to go the boiling route by lighting a fire.  She stated it was too wet for the fire to start,  the charging documents note.  She said she drank the water anyway and then continued walking uphill from the creek bed.  Now boiling urine can yield drinkable water.
