MILWAUKEE 鈥?As you know, Milwaukee has been a city under construction for many years. One of its latest evolutions is our Baird Center. I met with the President and CEO of the Wisconsin Center District, Marty Brooks to get a sneak peek  stanley thermos mug and share with you this amazing new addition to our downtown landscape.                        TMJ4 News        Through the years, we have known it by many names; the Midwest Express Center in stanley tumbler  1998, in 2002, the Midwest Airlines Center, the Frontier Airlines Center in 2010, in 2012, the Delta Center, the Wisconsin Center in 2013, and now Baird Center.Throughout its iterations, it has been the main convention hall for downtown Milwaukee, but Baird Center offers serious competition for conventions across the Midwest.  We were losing as much business as we were able to book with the existing Convention Center. By adding another ballroom, doubling the number of meeting rooms that we had, adding another exhibition hall, it enables us to get two events that are occurring simultaneously and also overlapping so that while one event is loading out, another event can load in , said Marty.                        TMJ4 News        And how does this impact the economy  Marty says,  The city benefits, as does the county, as does the state, because people are coming in s stanley drinking cup pending more money. But it s not just prospectively that the city is benefiting, during the construction process,47.8%, which means $47.8 million went to residents of the City of Milwaukee work Fwmv Small business applications have surpassed 17M, White House says

PLUMAS COUNTY, Calif. -- Firefighters working in record-breaking heat are battling the large Beckwourth Complex fire in Northern Califor stanley cup nz nia near the Nevada border.  School board elections have evolved into a new arena of conflict in American politics, as traditionally nonpartisan contests are becoming more polarized and attracting national attention. In suburban and rural Texas, normally mundane board meetings have devolved into shout-fests, and loc stanley cup al school board campaigns have attracted well-heeled donors to tilt the scales.Across Texas it s now not uncommon for school board candidates to have political war chests in the tens of thousands of dollars, whereas before only four-digit sums were raised to send campaign mailers. After the election of Joe Biden in 2020, the school board elections in Granbury, Texas took a partisan and culture-wars bent.  MILWAUKEE 鈥?Since plans for the Republican National Convention were in their early days, weve heard that it stands to bring upwards of $200 million in revenue and 50,000 new visitors to Milwaukee over the course of three days next July. That steep number left us thinking, is that possible  It s not a horse ra stanley uk ce. It s not as though we set this goal of $200 million in total economic impact and if we don t hit it, it s a failure. I think that s the wrong way of looking stanley quencher  at it,  said Steven Deller, Professor of Agricultural Applied Economics at UW-Madison.Other similar-sized cities, like Cleveland, which hosted the RNC in 2016, made a similar goal of $200 million, but came in short.Deller says the cost of bringing a convention to a city isnt cheap and that plays a big factor in how much money can be made back on the investment. There s going to be all sorts of costs that the city s going to have to face. So, it s not free. Oftentimes stanley cup , you will see with these major events that the promotion turns into advocacy and the advocacy tends to become a little overly optimistic,  said Deller.Deller crunched the numbers for us, comparing a study that collected data from 2008 and 2012 party conventions and says political conventions typically generate about 29,000 room nights of lodging with an average price during a high demand time of $175/night.That comes out to $5,075,000 in potential hotel spending.Add to that about $200 per person a day in food and travel expenses, the potential grand to Jueg Thousands of Amazon warehouse employees to vote on whether to form retailer  s first US union
EAU CLAIRE, WI. 鈥?As students head back to school, safety is top of mind as COVID-19 cases spike around the county. On one college campus, students are taking their safety and health into their own hands. We re in a public health crisis. Were in a global pandemic. We have to do something about this,  said Professor Crispin Pierce.Pierce and fellow professor, James Boulter, helped a group of students develop an experiment to see how well ventilated each classroom is on campus. It started off as a small project, and it kind of just exploded to really trying to evaluate the campus as a whole,  Danielle Zahn said stanley cup .Zahn is a student studying public health at the University  stanley thermos of Wisconsin Eau Claire. She and a group of students teamed up to test airflow in classrooms to answer the question in every students mind. They will set up carbon dioxide monitors, then use dry ice to fill classrooms with carbon dioxide: the same gas we exhale when we breathe. Fans spread it all over the room to simulate a classroom full of students. In a real class, as carbon dioxide builds up, if there are any sick students, COVID-19 will build up in the  stanley isolierkanne air, too.The
