The interstate reopened later Monday morning.The Independence Police Department says shortly before 2 a.m. Monday, a Chevrolet Equinox ran off the interstate, came back on the roadway and overturned. A male driver in another vehicle stopped to make sure the people in the Chevrolet were OK.While the assisting  stanley tumbler driver was out of his vehicle, a Ford F-150 struck both him and the overturned Equinox. The man who was assisting with the original crash was killed, along with one occupant of the Chevrolet.The Independence Police Department says the Equinox was a reported stolen vehicle from Kansas City, Missouri.The conditions of the original vehicle s other occupants are not yet known.Eastbound I-70 was shut down at Lee s Summit Road while investigators were on scene.  The Judiciary Committee of the New York State Assembly on Monday said that it would continue to con stanley quencher duct its own investigation into sexual harassment allegations against Gov. Andrew Cuomo, and that the Committee could provide a recommendation on impeachment in a matter of  several weeks. Committee Chair Charles Lavine and Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie said during a press conference on Monday that though the Assembly members have  no confidence  in Cuomo remaining in office, the Committee will continue to conduct its investigation in the hopes of providing a transparent process to the State of New York. When officers arrived, they found a man, later identified as 29-year-old Myronta Jackson, laying in the parking lot suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.The man was transported to the hospital in critical condition. It s for her four grandchildren, who are all learning remotely right now.  To keep four different age levels on four different schedules has been interesting,  Sapp said.  But the kids have really come up to the challenge. Their teachers are also up to the challenge. The teachers have been fantastic and keeping a schedule and lining it out so we can follow what to do each day,  Sapp said. It s one of many reasons Sapp nominated her grandson s second grade teacher, Heidi Stoeck who teaches at Sunnsyside Elementary in the Olathe Public Schools district.
