 The Parole Board of Canada has granted the notorious Guelph murderer Ed Dakin day parole for a term of six months.The 71-year-old is a former prominent Guelph realtor and president of the local real estate board. In 1989, he murdered Jackie Kaulback, 39, and her 16-year-old daughter Julie and has been serving a life sentence at Beaver Creek minimum-security facility just outside of Bracebridge.The day parole was granted on Aug. 15.
