Guelph Humane Society is pleading with the community not to abandon animals outside the shelter, after a cat that was left overnight died earlier this month. Theres never an excuse for abandoning an animal without attempting to get help, said GHS executive director Adrienne McBride.The organization took to social media to share its grief after staff arrived at the shelter on Sept. 3 and discovered a nearly lifeless cat in a carrier outside the community room entrance. Links2Care is there to help them make their way through the red tape and often talk to the officials on the clients behalf. Income taxes can also be done free of charge.
