His neighbour and family friend owns a masonry business and hired him one summer to help out with bricklaying jobs. Sherren said he got bit by the bug and has been doing masonry ever since.Hes worked around Peterborough, doing plenty of private and union jobs. His main work was laying brick on commercial buildings and houses in new subdivisions. However, Sherren said variety was lacking and he felt he was starting to lose his creative touch.
