BREWER, Maine 鈥?With six candidates vying for two seats on the Brewer School Committee, the annual meet the candidates forum is a great way for residents to learn at one time what all the prospective board members think, organizer Kim Kelley said Tuesday. This is the first time in at least 20 years weve had six people running for the school board, said Kelley, a member of the Brewer Education Association, which sponsors the forum.Three people, including two incumbents, also are running for two City Council seats up for grabs in the November election.The Oct. 30 meet the candidates forum will be held at Brewer Community School.
