 PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. 鈥?The Florida Department of Transportation  FDOT  is getting started on a $2.7 million project in St. Petersburg Monday morning.The year-long undertaking aims at improving pedestrian safety and walkability on 4th Street.FDOT is starting with drainage improvements in the a stanley cup rea, which begins Monday and will take about two weeks.Then they will move on to construct curb extensions at 10 intersections along 4th Street to extend the sidewalk or curb line out into the par stanley mug king lot.  Momentum behind granting Puerto Rico statehood seems to be gaining momentum as the territorys governor told Axios on Sunday that he expects Congress to take up the issue within the next month.In November, Puerto Rico voters supported statehood in a non-binding ballot referendum.The referendum narrowly passed by a 52-48 margin.The question was not the first time voters weighed in on Puerto Ric stanley cup o statehood.
