 KANSAS CITY, Mo. 鈥?A winter storm brought inches of snow to the Kansas City area Tuesday night and Wednesday morning. Hope Faith, a shelter for those experiencing homelessness in Kansas City, saw first hand how it impacted the un-housed.When staff went to open the shelter s doors stanley flask  before 6 a.m., there were already people huddled outside in the snow.  One woman, literally, was sleeping on the sidewalk with a small blanket and someone gave her a bigger blanket to cover her with,  Doug Langner, the executive director of Hope Faith said.  First off you go, is that person alive  Thankfully you hear this,  I am awake  and I said  Can you get inside   and she said  I cant move.  In the morning, temperatures were well below freezing. Langner said things are tight at the shelter, but that he s glad they can help thos stanley water bottles e without shelter. Langner provided showers, meals and shelters to 240 people Wednesday. Before the Olathe Public Schools Board of Education made the decision to move forward with fall sports at the high school level, they heard two hours of public comment. More than two weeks ago, the district said it would follow the Johnson County Department of Health s gating criteria for reopening schools and would also assess sports and activities on a we stanley cup ekly basis. After a 5-2 vote Thursday, fall sports are back on. Soccer will play as early as Wednesday and football on Friday.
