 The 40th anniversary of German Fest will run Friday-Sunday on Summerfest grounds after being postponed the last 2 years due to the pandemic. The festival will have different operating hours each day; 3 p.m.to midnight Friday, noon to midnight Saturday and noon to 7 p.m. Sunday. Friday is Military Apprecia airforces tion Day and Sunday is Family Day.  EL PASO COUNTY 鈥?A cache of Personal Protective Equipment  PPE  is coming together at the El Paso County Regional Office of Emergency Management.  COVID is still on-going. It has not slowed,  said Emergency Management Director Jim Reid.The stockpiling is funded through federal CARES Act dollars. $150,000 split between El Paso County and the City of Colorado Springs grants.PPE was quickly hard to find in the early days of the pandemic.
