 Vancouver has launched itself into new territory in dealing with what its deputy manager calls a frustrating situation involving two hotels that have been home to some of the city   most vulnerable people.After fail stanley thermobecher ed attempts to compel the owners of two decaying hotels in the Downtown Eastside to make improvements that would bring them up to code, the city announced Monday it had filed a notice of expropriation for the Balmoral and Regent hotels.The hotels were previously closed because of structural and safety concerns, the city said in a news release.  North Bay Police say they ;ve made an arrest in rela stanley cup tion to a robbery at gunpoint that happened on May 13.An extensive investigation that included front-line officers, the forensic identification unit and multiple calls from members of the public has led to the identification and arrest of a person from North Bay.Police responded to an apartment building in the 2400 block of Trout Lake Road in North Bay on Wednesday, May 13 at approximately 8:30 p.m.The victim reported she had let a person into her apartment thinking the suspect was a personal support worker.               ARTICLE CONTINUES BELOW                                        Once inside, the suspect allegedly pointed a black handgun at the victim and demanded she turn over her purse and medications. Police asked the public for help in identifying the woman in a security video. Items reported stolen included several bank cards as well as prescription medication.      As part of the investigation, police conducted a search warrant on a residence in the north end of the city on Sunday, Nov. 15 and reportedly recovered a handgun.        ARTICLE CONTINUES BELOW                                 That same day, police arrested Gail Dora Campbell, 44, of North Bay.
