Hong Kong production outfit Filmko Pictures has sold European rights to supernatural thriller Inner Senses to Vancouver-based sales company Horizon Entertainment.Horizon has several years experience handling Asian films in the European and North American markets. Inner Senses stars Leslie Cheung and Karena Lam and is directed by Lo Chi-leung whose writing and directing credits include Hot War and Hong Kong hit Fly Me To Polaris. The film has been selected for the competition section of the forthcoming Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival PiFan which runs from July 11-20 in South Korea.Filmko, formed in 2000 by Alex Wong and filmmakers Derek Yee and Jacob Cheung, recently wrapped Banny Lo s Losing Thirty Years, the first title in a four-film co-production deal with Hong Kong s Media Asia. Shuudertsetseg, it tells the story of a 17th century warrior princess who fought alongside her husband against Manchurian troops invading her country.Filmed entirely in Mongolia with local cast and crew, the privately-produced film depicts the Battle of Zuunmod where Ahno died protecting her husband and sons. It became Mongolias highest-ever grossing film when it was released earlier this year. Meanwhile, Golden Network is also ramping up its slate of animated features with Robokicks produced by Malaysias Animasia Studio.
