While the food is on stanley cup becher e of the biggest stars at the Wisconsin State Fair, this year vendors are combating supply issues and historic inflation.Jessica Jerky, owner of the Appleton based  All things jerky  and  Exotic Meat Grill,  said they began preparing last September but have faced one challenge after another, including shortages in supplies like stanley cup  gloves and alligator, which is their biggest seller. The biggest impact we ve had is shipping costs. That really has gone up so what used to cost us $400 to have a truck sent up full of alligator or you know things like that is now closer to like $800-900. So we have to figure that in our final cost,  Jerky said.Jerky said they are keeping price increases to a minimum while finding ways to deliver as much bang for your buck.            Owner of Exotic Meat Grill talks inflation, supply chain issues                             It s very difficult, but you know what  I think we re all doing our best,  said Wendy Matel, owner of Freese s Candy Shoppe and Heavenly Roasted Nuts in West Allis. For Matel, getting raw ingredients like sugar and cinnamon for their homemade sweets and roasted nuts is tougher than usual, plus, those staples now come at a premium. It s hard sometimes for absorbing more costs than we can, but we re trying because I want everybody to enjoy it and I don t want to have to raise prices,  Matel explained.Jerky noted that state fair organizers are working with vendors by allowing them  stanley cups to wait to turn in menu prices unt Cwjk Old farming methods draw interest as climate, environment demand them
TUCSON, Ariz.  KGUN  鈥?TuSimple is a company building and testing autonomous semi-trucks in Tucson. These trucks can successfully navigate side streets, highways and traffic signals, all while responding to surrounding cars. They have around 20 cameras that allow for a 360-degree vision of the road around the vehicle. The truck is capable of detecting when vehicles cut in front of it,  said Koabi Brooks, Director of Technical Operations.  It will slow down if necessary to create a safe follow distance. It sees when cars are merging on the highway. Autonomous trucks could provide a real solution to recent supply chain issues. The American Trucking Association estimates theres a shortage of 80,000 truck drivers in the United States. People were shopping more online, getting more product delivered to their houses,  said Lee White, Vice President of Strategy.  What that means is more movement by trucks, theres been more demand than ever for truck movements. In December, TuSimples truck became the first fully autonomous and driverless semi on the open road. The company is now accelerating toward commercial use. In December we did a technology demo showing the world that driver-out capability is closer stanley quencher  than we think,  Brooks said.  T stanley cup usa he path to commercialization is closer than the world thinks.  Northern Arizona University researchers are using drones to help detect and better manage wildfires no matter the size. Once the monsoon hits the Southwest, we get a lot of lightning strikes,  says NAU School of Forestry graduate research assistant Leo O Neill. The drones, along with the thermal cameras mounted on them, may help fire managers plan prescribed burns and potentially give crews the upper hand before a large fire erupts. Those will produce single tree lightning fires. They re a challenge to find a lot of times, so these drones could definitely help finding and locating these fires. Peter Ful茅, a regents  professor with the NAU School of Forestry, says early detection of wildfires is very useful in cases where fires need to be suppressed. People built lookout towers to look for fires to try and detect them as early and as small as possible,  Ful茅 says.  Technology of various kinds, including drones, is helpful and potentially could be more helpful in that process. Current research is being done on the Coconino and Kaibab National Forests. It s also part of a larger national collaboration funded by the National Science Foundation. The research group looks at thermal imagery of fires frame by frame, classifying wh stanley water bottle eth stanley cup er the image has a fire or not.
