 While COVID-19 hospitalizations stabilized over the past week, the region saw a rise in cases and reported five deaths related to the virus for the second week in a row.Halton Region reported three deaths related to COVID-19 in Burlington and one each in Hills and Oakville. There have now been 12 COVID-19 related deaths in October, compared to 14 September and nine in August.The number of cases rose in the region. There were 267 lab-confirmed cases in Halton in the past week, an average of 38.1 per day, the highest mark this month.
