 KARACHI:Renowned educationist, linguist, critic, poet and former registrar of Karachi University Professor Raees Alvi has passed away at the age of 76 in the Australian city of Sydney.He left behind a son and a daughter in his family and many loved ones. He will be buried in Sydney on Thursday after his funeral prayers.Professor Raees Alvi moved to Austr nike air force 07 alia with his son a few years ago. He had been suffering from cancer for some time and was being treated at a hospital in Sydney.Professor Raees Alvi was born on May 7, 1946, in Lucknow, India.
