 A U.S. Capitol Police officer died Thursday night after sustaining injuries at the pro-Trump riot in Washington, D.C., just a day prior, authorities said. The 42-year-old officer, identified as Brian D. Sicknick, was injured while  physically engaging with protesters. The details surrounding Sicknick s death are unclear. Capitol Police said he died at 9:30 p.m. Thursday.  He returned to his division office and collapsed. He was taken to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries,  police said in a statement.
