At one point, he emptied a whole canister of pepper spray on one of the dogs. Eventually, police were called to Lathrop Elementary School after the dogs went onto school property and attacked two students. Students were led inside after the attacks, and as that was happening, one of the dogs charged at an officer. Another officer shot and killed the dog.
