 On Tuesday two former Baltimore City Police Gun Trace Task Force members charged in a corruption scandal will go before a jury.Opening statements are expected in the trial of Detectives Daniel Hersl and Marcus T stanley water bottle aylor. They are being tried together in federal court.They are accused of robbing and extorting res stanley france idents, falsifying evidence, and overtime fraud.Six other former members of the Gun Trace Task Force have pleade stanley thermobecher d guilty to similar charges, including selling drugs seized by police. Four of them may testify against Hersl and Taylor.The jury was chosen Monday. Attorneys chose 12 jurors and 4 alternates from a pool of74 potential jurors from all over the state.The trial is expected to last three to four weeks.
