It s bittersweet. I guess I ve had lots of support from my mom and dad, my grandparents, and amazing teachers and coaches throughout the years supporting me throughout the way. It s hard to say goodbye to everything,  said Schoenfeld.  HELENA 鈥?Helenas annual Parade of Lights has been officially canceled, after organizers had been attempting to keep it going in a new format.Dow air max 1 ntown Helena Inc. made the announcement Tuesday. Mike Rooney, the organizations operations director, said they had been working for several months on planning for the parade. Last month, they decided to switch to a  reverse parade,  where floats would be parked and visitors would drive by them.Since then, however, COVID-19 numbers have risen in Lewi jordan s and Clark County, and Lewis and Clark Public Health limited gatherings to 50 people. Rooney said they typically have 5 to 15 people on each float, and restricting the number of floats or people participating wouldnt make it the kind of event they hoped for.  The anniversary of the Jan. 6 Capitol riots poses a question for teachers 鈥?how to discuss the deadly riots with their students.Anton Schulzki, the president of the National Council for Social Studies, says a number of colleagues he s talked with will bring up the topic in some way. He said the conversations will be far different than the ones they may have had with their students a year ago. Those conversations will be likely along the lines of what s changed in the last year, as opposed to looking at the immediacy of the event from what happened to now.  Pedro Rios says the idea that immigrants are coming to this country solely to be a burden to the United States is absolutely false.
