A team of researchers at McMaster University are working on a home-based test for COVID-19 they say could help limit community spread.Working much like a pregnancy test, the self-diagnosis kit would be able to identify the genetic material, as well as the proteins of the new coronavirus in less than half an hour, according to John Brennan, director of McMasters Biointerfaces Institute.With the capacity to test from home, Brennan said those who are asymptomatic or have mild symptoms will be able to self-isolate more quickly.
