Wellingtons top police officer is playing down the significance of a recent vandalism spike, saying the trend is toward lower crime in the Town of Erin.Insp. Scott Lawson, Wellington County OPP Detachment Commander, said his officers have spent 8,000 hours in Erin this year to the end of July.
