LAKELAND, Fla. 鈥?The Lakeland Police Department made over 30 arrests in their Street Safe initiative over the New Year s Eve weekend. Authorities say 33 people in total were arrested for things varying from possession of
stanley water bottle illegal drugs to possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. The police department says 20 officers were positioned around Downtown Lakeland bars, restaurants and gas stations, as well as along Memorial Boulevard from December 28 to December 31 between 9 p.m. and 4 a.m.
