 TMJ4 got an exclusive look Wednesday at how the United States Secret Service is preparing for the upcoming Republican National Convention. Agents from the Secret Service led Wednesday morning s gathering of the Private Sector And Community Impact Subcommittee.  After a briefing at The Pfister Hotel, members of the subcommittee went door to door in downtown Milwaukee.  The goa stanley tumbler l was to start establishing points of contact with businesses and neighbors inside what is anticipated to be the RNC s secure zone.                         Tim Vetscher, TMJ4                Secret Service prepare stanley cup s for RNC    While the US Secret Service is leading the operation, the Milwaukee Police Department, Milwaukee County Sheriff s Office, Milwaukee Fire Department, Milwaukeee County Emergency Management, Milwaukee County Health Department, and the FBI are all taking part. While going door to door, the Secret Service agents and other members of the subcom stanley quencher mittee will gather questions and concerns from business owners and residents about the convention, which is expected to bring around 35,000 visitors to the area. The information gathered will be used to create a security plan.  A Connecticut mom has made it her mission to be a voice and advocate for families who are affected by the rare genetic conditio stanley cup n SMA, or Spina stanley quencher l Muscular Atrophy, which is the leading genetic cause of death in infants and toddlers.At almost 18 months old, Olivia has come a long way in her short life. Shes very temperamental, she knows what she wants and makes her needs very known,  mom Stacy Pokorny said. Pokorny said she s able to sit independently and has more words and motor skills these days. She calls her daughter s big milestones  inch stones  and says,  I dont think theres much that can really prepare you for a diagnosis like this. Olivia is the youngest of three and Pokorny is a nurse, which she says is both a blessing and a curse. Initially to be told your child has a rare neuromuscular disease and theres an 8% two-year survival rate and the cost of the medications available was astronomical,  Pokorny said.SMA is a progressive neuromuscular disease. Olivia has the most severe form. She wasn t symptomatic at birth, but Pokorny says she went from total movement to very little movement in about two weeks. She quickly went from being able to lift her legs, arms and all that to not being able to move. She co stanley cup uld only move her ankles,  Pokorny said.Eventually, she lost her ability to swallow and they learned she had SMA, which Pokorny says is like ALS, but in babies.
